Founded in 1984, the Fondazione Sportsystem Museum represents one of the few museums in Italy that showcases the heritage of a manufacturing district. Extending over 8 rooms covering approximately 200 m2, today the museum is home to over 2,800 historical artifacts (machines, tools and equipment) and footwear; approximately 1,400 patents; over 4,000 catalogues of local international companies and their competitors; and a specialist library that includes more than 3,000 historic journals, specialist books, and an archive of dissertations.
