The Foundation is dedicated to revitalising and enriching the legacy of the historic Sportsystem District.Our mission is to support initiatives that bolster the growth and development of manufacturing and entrepreneurial culture, promote the local area, and foster sporting initiatives that celebrate the products manufactured by businesses in our region.
What we do
Technical training
We organise and promote technical training opportunities, passing on and helping to maintain the renowned expertise of this district
Projects
We develop partneships and participate in projects with institutions, universities, business and non-commercial organisations. Our main areas od interest are sustainability, research and innovation.
School workshops
We offer school workshops for different ages, that seek to help students interpret the evolution in the culture, economy and technology of the Sportsystem, and help develop young people XXI century skills.
The Sportsystem Foundation Museum
The Sportsystem Foundation Museum serves to preserve and exhibit artefacts that showcase the design, technological innovation and manufacturing of sporting footwear, and which best epitomise the renowned expertise of the Sportsystem Manufacturing District.
The exhibition currently boasts around 400 exhibits, displayed across several rooms, which together showcase the collective history of the last two centuries of the area.
